Source release schedules

Census business applications update monthly. Labor, tax, bankruptcy, lending, credit, and procurement sources follow separate release schedules, so rankings, state pages, and industry comparisons can change at different times.

Update cadence

Monthly Census application data usually changes first. Annual labor and tax files supply employer-base and receipts measures. Bankruptcy and procurement files can update independently, so a state page may change before every source has released a new annual file.

Every page labels partial-year, fiscal-year, tax-year, and trailing-12-month data near the metric that uses it.
